WETCAST MOULDS MADE OF POLYURETHANE
In order to reproduce a natural surface in the cast-resin mould, a negative imprint of the surface is prepared according to your specifications. Based on this negative imprint, we create a positive model of the required dimensions. The casting frame around the positive model is poured out as 100% colour-neutral polyurethane from tempered stainless steel tanks.
The casting unit is one of WASA's in-house developments. Our special process engineering allows bubble-free casting. Nearly void-free consistency ensures high tear-growth resistance.
After hardening in the positive model, the finished cast-resin mould is stripped. This is followed by a rest period of seven to ten days at room temperature (20°C). After that, the mould is ready for use.
- Exact measuring accuracy
- Optimal demoldability of stones
- No bleeding on the end product
- High tear strength of wetcast moulds
