Investment in new wetcast and drycast lines pays off for Austria Beton Werk

One of the most significant manufacturers of concrete block products in Slovakia, Austria Beton Werk (ABW) from Králová pri Senci, decided to improve the quality of its products even further in summer 2012.

For the owner and CEO of ABW, Josef Lasak, it was clear that this step would only be possible through the use of new underlay boards. “We had already made a great choice with our Hess RH 1500 concrete block machine, and were able to achieve excellent height accuracy in our formwork stones segment, for example. In order to reduce these already very low stone height tolerances even further, we decided to replace the softwood boards we had been using up to now. After trialling a wide range of board types, we ultimately chose the best product: the WASA UNIPLAST® ULTRA glass fibre-reinforced plastic board.”
